We set sail this morning at 07:00 and had a relative fast sail for the 65 nm to Ua-Pou Island. We had a rather rolley passage with up to Gale 8 (33 kn) winds from aft and large waves. But also at times the wind dropped to only 8 kn, so the passage was not really funny. We arrived just as it was getting dark and had the usual fun of putting out two anchors; one in front and one aft. Great to have Jon to help with this difficult maneuver.
Ua-pou is a spectacular island with loads of high cliffs and many sugar tops. It is usually covered with clouds, and so it was today.
