Panama City Aft.

We set sail from Panama City this morning and had a very pleasant sail to Contadora. On our way we were met by several Whales that were all at least the lengths of New Dawn. Several swam along us and even dived under us and one was found of almost touching our bow with its huge tail. At one point it rolled on its side and we are sure it was observing us standing there trying to get it on video, which was of course difficult.

Videos to follow.

Panama Canal Traffic.

As I am anchored within 300 metres of the entrance of the Panama Canal Pacifi side it is amasing to observe the shipping coming and going. They transit about 40 ships per day and Mersk Line must be one of the Canal's biggest customer, as I see many of the Maersk Lined ships each day. Hamburg Sud is also a big one, as well as the car transporting Ro-Ro ships, which comes each day in both direction.

One of the Maersk container ship going north.

My view from the anchorage.
