We Are Back On Board And New Chain Installed, Etc..

After a small wonderful week in Beauvallon where we enjoyed the luxury of the house, garden, swimming pool, beach and friends, we drove back yesterday to Port Napoleon to continue the work on New Dawn.

Early today we finally received the new 104 m (12 m/m) anchor chain and we installed it. It weights about 500 kg together with the anchor and normal cost is € 1.550 but we negotiated it for € 925 (ex anchor), which is an excellent price.

Laying it out to install the metering marks.

The anchor chain locker well stored with the new chain.

New bilge pump parts arrived today, but it is not really working well yet? Simrad main navigation system repaired, but delayed in arriving and we worry why.

Getting Ready For Launch In Port Napoleon, France.

This is our new Blog for S/Y New Dawn, which is intended to cover our sailing and other items starting in August 2013. It follows our other Blog, which is now full.

The latest photos are these.

We are nearing the point of launch of New Dawn in Port Napoleon. Some spares and a new anchor chain are still awaited, but should soon arrive.
