Bonaire And On To Curacao.

We spend two full days in Bonaire and the crew wend to a mangrove dive trip, while I amused myself trying to clear us in and out by going 4 times to the Customs and Immigration, as well as getting information on hiring Scooters, looking for spare parts and shopping at Budget Marine. Yesterday we hired 3 Scooters and drove most of the day around the island.

The following are some of the photos from the Mangroves.

A "Local" Lobster.

Back on New Dawn they all had fun diving around the boat.
The artist Rutger having fun.

The town is quite pritty and looks a lot like a Dutch town.

There is a huge amount of banks in Bonaire and they are relatively small, but I guess handled large amounts of money.

These are the small houses build for the Slaves working on the farms and on the salt mines.

The three crews from New Dawn after about 5.000 Nm sailing across the Atlantic and the Caribbean.

This photo is for Nicolas as it was a very active Kite Surfing Beach. No waves and current, but the strong Trade wind.
More Slave Houses.

Plenty of these crossing the roads as we drove by with our Scooters.

Rutger like to play football with concrete blocks in town while he wears flip-flops.
All happy seeing Charlotte.
On our way from Bonaire to Curacao we had a lunch stop at the wonderful Klein Curacao Island, where there is a Turtle beach shown in this photo and the Crew saw one close to New Dawn, but did not have the camera with them.

This is the anchorage at Bonaire.

Karl's restaurant and bar at the water front.

This chap liked the Tender.
