We have now almost circumnavigated Tahaa Island anti clock wise and been into a few of the bays on the way.
We are anchored just next to the bungalow hotel THE
TAHAA Private Island resort which is a 5-star hotel and member the Relais &
Châteaux (see: www.relaischateaux.com/letahaa). The prices starts at
104.000 fr (EUR 875) for a night and a transfer by helicopter from the airport
10 min away cost 18.000 fr (EUR 151) or by boat 10.000 fr (EUR 84), per person.
Then comes the food and drinks, etc.. But on the positive side it is in a
fantastic location and beautifully designed.
Next to us is a “Coral Garden” and one snorkel between the Corals and many different fish with beautiful colours. Outside and right next to New dawn the water depth is only a couple of meters and there are many Rays on the sand bottom. The water is very clear and one can easily see the sand even at 6 meters depth.
