This boat was heading at me for almost 40 minutes. I increased the speed to 8.5 kn and they kept at it. One mistake they did was to steer directly at me at an angel, rather than steering for a point in front of me.
After about 40 minutes they gave up, but were quite close. They might have realized that they were getting too far away from land and could run out of fuel. They then went away. Were they Pirates? I shall never know, thankfully, but suspicious it was.
This was my preparation in case they would catch up on me.
