On Fridays it is market day close to the Marina and it is very interesting. Everyone are smiling and friendly. I ended up buying more than I can eat, but it was good.

Visa Run To Singapore.
As my visa for Malaysia was running out this week and the Immigration in Ipoh could not issue me an extension, I ended up going for a day to Singapore. It is a very long way and it took the night bus 14 hours to get to Singapore, but "only" 10 hours to get back to Lumut, where I arrived this morning at 07:00. It was a tough trip, with hardly any sleep and the bus going south was full and we had a huge amount of traffic all the way. In any case, I managed to get my 90 days visa for Malaysia and did spare parts shopping in Singapore, as well as a walk in the center of this busy town. Some of yesterdays photos below shows the different main religions present in Singapore. Namely:
1) Buddhism:
2) Hindu:
3) Muslim:
4) Hippie:
5) Modern architecture:

New Teak Deck.
Today two of the carpenters have started to remove the teak deck. New photos will be added from time to time.
Have a look what we found under the teak deck close to the life-raft - a hole - but I have no idea why it is there and it looks poor of HR to just cover a hole with the teak. Very strange.

We are experiencing delays and none respecting of the contract by the carpenter, which will likely spark problems. The work should have been completed between 10.03.2017 and 20.03.2017, and I don't even think they can finish by end May. Re-booked my flights to 03.07.2017. The status of the work is shown in the below photos.

I believe I have now past 30 washing machine loads during the last couple of weeks and there are more to come. This is four machine loads.

Old teak deck taken off, holes filled, sanded, primed twice and ready for the new teak deck. A huge job.

Not everything is going well as I noted this morning that the carpets were wet in many places and to my horror I noted water had entered in, at least, four cupboards and destroyed books, cigars, cigarettes and many other items. I spend the rest of the day and Saturday cleaning up and washing the things I can wash, but many items have disintegrated. This is likely going to complicate my relations with the Carpenters. Some of my photos which shows the extend of the damage;
